Marc Bowering

Marc Graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1983, and went on to serve in the U.S. Army for 4 years as a combat engineer.  After an honorable discharge in December, 1987, he returned to the Farmington/Wilton area, where he now resides.  Marc has been a full-time police officer since 1988.  He started for the Wilton Police Department in 1988 and worked there for 10 years before leaving to work for the Jay Police Department for 10 months, then on to the Farmington Police Department, where he is the departmental firearms, simunitions, and Firearms Training System (F.A.T.S.) instructor and was recognized as the Farmington Police Department Officer of the Year for 2003 and more recently the Employee of the Quarter for the Spring of 2007 and one of three officers chosen for Winter of 2008.

His duties have ranged from an assignment with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, to being a firearms instructor, elder abuse officer, Police Training Officer and directing the annual Citizens Police Academy.  Marc thoroughly enjoys the investigative aspects of his job. 

When not on duty, Marc's interests include fishing, hunting and kayaking with his two children.
