Bridgette Gilbert
In 1995 Bridgette graduated from the 100 hour pre-service Law Enforcement school and in 1996 received certification for Terminal Operator. She has worked for the Somerset County Sheriff's Dept. as a dispatcher and a reserve deputy. She then moved on to the Pittsfield Police Dept. as a reserve patrol officer and dispatcher/clerk. She also worked at the Newport Police Dept. and Madison Police Dept. both doing reserve patrol work.
In 1998 Bridgette graduated from the 86th Municipal/County Basic Police School and continued working for the Pittsfield Police Dept. until July of 2000 after being hired to work for the Farmington Police Dept.
Bridgette undertook
the position of School Resource Officer (SRO) in 2005. The School Resource Officer often represents the front line of
juvenile investigation and
Officer Gilbert was chosen the Employee of the Quarter for Spring and Summer 2006, Spring 2008 and for Employee of the Year for 2006. Our congratulations to Officer Gilbert for these distinctions.
