Darin Gilbert

Darin was hired by the Farmington Police Department in December of 2000.  Prior to that he worked for four years at the Kennebec County Sheriff's Department as a Corrections Sergeant. 

Darin graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in the 2nd Basic Law Enforcement Training Program in 2002. 

Currently 1 of 5 Field Training Officers, Darin recently completed a major revision of the Field Training manual.  He is also a certified Defensive Tactics instructor for the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and the Farmington Police Department.  Darin was awarded Officer of the Year for 2005 and Officer of the Quarter for the Fall of 2007 and one of three officers chosen for Officer of the Quarter for Winter of 2008.

Darin enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family when not working.
