Sergeant Peter Barton
Peter Barton joined the Farmington Police Department in 1982 and is a graduate of the University of Maine. Peter was promoted to sergeant in 1996. Typical duties include training and supervision of patrol officers; perform employee evaluations and other administrative duties. Sgt. Barton was instrumental in the formation of the bike patrol that still serves the greater downtown area of Farmington and has written and administered several grants for the police department. In his spare time Peter likes to spend time with his family camping, hiking and enjoying other outdoor activities.
Peter recently received the distinction of Employee of the Quarter for Summer 2009 for his renewed efforts in traffic law enforcement. Congratulations Peter!
