Farmington Police Department Mission Statement:

"To create a feeling of safety for the people within the Town of Farmington"

            Located at 153 Farmington Falls Rd. Farmington, Maine.  For non-emergencies the Farmington Police Department can be contacted at 778-6311.  Faxes can be sent to 778-5871.  For the hearing impaired the TTY-TDD number for non-emergencies is 778-5873.  The Farmington Police Department is located in with the Town Office and Fire Department.  This facility is open Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm, except holidays. There are emergency call boxes located at both the front and rear entrances of the building which ring into the police station during the above listed hours and at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department at all other times.

Any residents wishing to take a look at the Police Department’s quarters are  welcomed to stop by.

American Cancer Society RELAY FOR LIFE

The Farmington Police Department is proud to announce our participation again in this year's Relay For Life.  Team BLUE HEAT raised a total of $6,829.12, making team BLUE HEAT "the team to beat"!  This is a fantastic accomplishment and we would like to give our heart felt thanks to everyone that contributed! From local businesses donating items for the Public BBQs to all those that made monetary donations and those who donated of their time and talents,

The Farmington Police Dept. weekly blog

Patrol, dispatch, sergeants, the detective and lieutenant handled the following calls for service from

 June 13 through June 19

     Members of the Farmington Police Department answered 66 calls for service, performed 47 routine public safety functions and investigated 5 traffic crashes during the week of the above dates.  Lt. Jack Peck, Sgts. Shane Cote and Peter Barton, Det. Marc Bowering and Officers Bridgette Gilbert, Darin Gilbert, Michael Adcock, Ted Neil, William Tanner, IV and Kim Bates handled the following complaints this past week while on duty.

     A summary of the calls for service include property damage motor vehicle accidents on Wilton Rd. and Fairbanks Rd., assists to Northstar Ambulance Service, Franklin County Sheriff’s Dept. and Wilton P.D., reports of suspicious incidents on Wilton Rd., Main St. and Hovey Rd., reports of missing property on Main St. and Farmington Falls Rd., 911 hang ups on Whittier Rd. and High St., reports of disturbances on Thompson-Walton Court and Lake St.* which resulted in one arrest, reports of harassment on Red School House Rd., Sawtelle Lane and Middle St., reports of theft on Wilton Rd. and Farmington Falls Rd., assistance with civil matters on Wilton Rd., Sawtelle Lane, Fairbanks Rd., Quebec St., Skunk Hollow Rd., Lamkin Lane and Holley Rd., a burglary on Temple St., a report of road rage on Wilton Rd., a report of a possible violation of a Protection Order, a report of negotiating a worthless instrument on Front St., a child welfare complaint on Sawtelle Lane, animal complaints on Temple Rd., Bailey Hill Rd. and High St., a report of a suspected lottery scam, reports of criminal mischief on Perham St. and Fairbanks Rd. and a report of possible counterfeit money on Wilton Rd.

     A total of 118 traffic stops were made during the week, resulting in 85 warnings, 11 defects and 22 summonses for the following traffic violations; speed, failure to provide proof of insurance and operating w/ an expired inspection.  Summonses for the following criminal violations were also issued; theft, violation of conditions of release and negotiating a worthless instrument.  8 parking tickets were issued during this week. 

     Additionally, officers served paperwork for District and Superior court(s), made warrant arrests and continued investigations on several current cases.
